Wearing Green Shawls
Shawls serve a double purpose. For one, it gives great comfort and warmth to the people wearing it. Second, it can actually give spice to an outfit. Though they say that you must sacrifice either of the two, the concept must be that the two should always go hand in hand. And shawls do just that. Furthermore, shawls come in many different variations. There are several different kinds of styles and also in colors. For instance, green shawls are available in a lot of other shades. However, the underlying factor is that regardless of whether it is dark or light green, or when it's thick or lightweight, a shawl adds to the sophistication of any outfit.
There are several ways on how you can tie your green shawls. Some of them are more appropriate for formal occasions whereas some others are certainly more fitting to casual or daytime get-ups. The following are just some of these which you can use to tie your shawls.
First is the ascot style of tying your shawls. What you must do is to fold the shawl in half to make a rectangular shape. Next, place the folded shawl around your neck and also since it is folded in half, the loop should hang over one shoulder and the ends over the other one. Then take the ends of the shawl and pull them through the loop. After which, pull the ends gently to move the shawl nearer to your neck. After you have done this, you might have finally achieved a chic way of tying the shawl, ascot-style.
Another thing that you can do with your shawl is to use the poncho-style of tying it. Fold the shawl in half diagonally to make a large triangle out of your shawl. Next, drape the shawl over you back. Make sure that one point should hang down your back and the other two points are wrapped around your shoulders to meet in the front. After that, tie the front ends in a loose knot to form a poncho using the shawl. To finish it off, use a shawl pin or a brooch to secure the ends tightly together. But if you don't want to do this, you can simply just knot them together. However, a pin or a brooch can actually add glam to your look.
One further thing you could do is to try and do the upscale tie. What you must do is drape the shawl over your shoulders and it should fully cover your upper back and shoulders. Wrap the ends of the shawl around your upper arms. Next, bring the shawl ends behind your back and knot them loosely together. Voila! You now have a totally classy and sophisticated look that will also keep you warm.
Green shawls may be worn with an evening dress or even just your casual jeans and t-shirt combination. Just be sure you stick to the idea that style and comfort must always go together. Why sacrifice either of the two if you happen to simply can have both?
