What do you think of someone who does cross stitch projects as gifts?
They're usually 12-15 inches wide/height. Just look at the angels on lavendar & lace + the 2 brides that the same company made.
I did 12 of these projects & only kept 1 for myself.

Do you usually remember for them after the did 1 for you? Or do you just forget they ever even existed?
I never forget the cross stitch I do. each one has a bit of me in it. You only do them because you like them lol. As for the ones I am given, they become a family treasure. I always put my initials and date at the bottom, and when it is framed make sure it can be seen then wrap it and give away lol. the best part is the expression on the faces of the reciever, when they realise just what work you have done for them and how long it took. I did the girl on garland swing on black linen from Lavender and lace for a friend, but liked it so much I kept it and did her one on ivory. Much easier on the eyes. If you are a prolific stitcher like me, try a lamp at your feet if you are working on black. And tell your loved ones that "just one more stitch" is printed on your forehead lol. Enjoy your craft and take photo's of the ones you give away. One day your children will look at them and marvel at how they were done.
