Uss Constitution And Navy Yard- A Piece Of American Naval History
Initially called the Charlestown Navy Yard, and following 1945 named the Boston Naval Shipyard, the Boston Navy Yard is one of the foremost ship constructing sites of the American Navy. The Boston Nay Yard was formed in 1801 and resides on a 30 acre or 120, 000 square meters of land. The yard formally ceased its activities on the 1st of July 1974. The Boston Navy Yard is now incorporated into the Boston National Historical Park.
The Boston Navy Yard includes many attractions. The Yard contains the museum ship USS Cassin Young (DD-793), the USS Constitution and also the USS Constitution Museum.
