Christmas Fancy Dress Classics From Baby Boy To Grandpa
Christmas fancy dress parties are at the front of our minds as we prepare for the event of the year. We girls do tend to have all the fun with fancy dress, don’t we? And the boys usually end up being left out a bit. When we do get them to join in the fancy dress spirit, it tends to be hilariously funny rather than raunchy. However, boys being boys, not all of them want to be an elf or a Santa so let’s take a look at a range of Christmas classic and various themed fancy dress for the lads.
BABY BOY SANTA - All baby Santa suits are adorable and, with your youngest in mind, these outfits are normally all-in-ones, bright red in colour with fake fur trims around all the edges. Accentuated black buttons and black fake belt plus non-slip feet make this costume a little cracker. Santa hats set the scene, although you never know how long they’re going to keep them on. Your baby boy is bound to jingle all the ladies’ bells on Christmas morning.
TODDLER SNOWMAN - The snowman costume is high on the popularity list along with baby Santa suits. Although we’ve moved on a little from baby, comfort is still a priority here and once again these costumes tend to be all-in-ones with large pompom-style buttons. A great looking headpiece consisting of bowler-style hat and an orange carrot nose should accompany the suit. To get the right look, a bright red scarf will add some festive flavour. Frosty may be his name, but your little snowman is set to melt all the girls’ hearts.
LITTLE BOYS’ ANIMALS - As our babies turn into little boys, this is where you may find that, although it’s Christmas, it will have no bearing on what they want to wear. Some animal costumes are just plain cute whilst others are hilariously funny. Cute is cuddly bear cubs, lions and bunnies, while lobster, monkey, frog, dragonsaurus and T-rex are rather amusing. T-rex comes as a whole outfit, green being the obvious colour. A matching but normally separate foam-filled headpiece with large white pointed teeth looks quite authentic. The long tail part will, I’m sure, get pulled more than a box of Christmas crackers at dinnertime so be careful you don’t get swished too much. A great little costume should have your little one roaring with laughter.
BOYS’ PIRATE GHOUL - Boys will be boys and just because it’s Christmas you won’t stop them wanting to do monsters and ghouls. Boys love scary and that’s what you get with this costume, consisting of black tunic and a deep scarlet-coloured red hood and matching waist sash. The gory skeleton-style pirate style mask looks good with the ribbed imitation chest on the front of the tunics and, if you’re lucky, you will get a 3-D beating heart for added effect. Add a long pirate sword and pirate boots for a realistic look. Perfect for boys!!!
DADS’ GRINCH - One of my personal favourites is the adult Grinch fancy dress, a very popular costume. A Santa-style jacket in bright red with a wide black belt and a big gold buckle sets the scene. Black pants are a must then add the green latex mask with matching green hair as the focus of this fabulous fancy dress costume. Oh, and don’t forget the Santa hat. Add some white gloves for effect and you have one mean Mr Grinch!!!
GRANDPA SANTA - There are traditional and funny Santa suits a-plenty, but I love traditional. If grandpa is of a certain age, then the right looking beard is important, and there are some brilliant beards around. A traditional Santa will delight the whole family and add the perfect touch to a Christmas fancy dress party. For authenticity, add a big red sack; even the sceptics will start believing in the magic of Christmas.

Ultra-tight button-fly low-rise mens'/boys' jeans:do they exist, and are they cheap?...?
I've been seeing the new jeans fad, where young guys(at least ten YO) wearing ultra-tight low-rise button-fly jeans...so low that their BOXERS(they ALWAYS wear boxers, a la Kevin Rudolf!) show off their butt!
DO these jeans exist, and are they cheap(under $25-40)?...as in Levi's-branded 511s, or Hollister, or Vans-Off-the-Wall, or whatever, and there are at least two buttons on the fly(not counting the waistband)
My 16 1/2 YO son wants to wear these, but I said no at first...at least he doesn't wear boxers at all(mainly Jockey briefs or Hanes Boxer briefs!)...so I await your answers, no matter how crazy they get!

I'm getting sick and tired of seeing the teen guys' butts hanging out of their boxers AND those darn jeans!
I'm 71, and I wish those haven't been invented in the first place!...I don't mind the classic Levi's "shrink-to-fit" 501s, but, c'mon now, this is RIDCULOUS!...
Even my teenage neighbor down the street loves his tight Wranglers, but disses those "JOna$ Jeans"(as he calls them)...he's more conservative to a degree...
