Hip Hop Artist - Find Out About Old School Hip Hop

Hip hop music industry is a rising culture, every day, month, or year a new fan is born because of a particular song, the looks of a famous hip hop artist or the dance moves.  Whatever it might be hip hop culture is getting stronger because of the diversity of hip hop artist who contribute their talents, work and dedication to the industry.  In return, fans are downloading or buying singles, albums, garments and shoes developed by hip hop artists or famous designers such as Gucci, Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren.

Hip hop and rap music was initially discovered during the seventies at the Bronx in New York City.  The singers and listeners during that time were unprivileged, African and Latin Americans.  The hip hop music was sung on subways with no censor or controversy, characterized by block parties featuring music, dancing, and graffiti in largely black neighborhoods spawned a new disc-jockey culture. The acceptance of hip hop came through the 80's, radio station and television gradually launched artist and song. Audience and media were amazed by the songs, beats and energy of the young artists, and soon hip hop grew to become a household music.

With hip hop entering another decade, anything from the nineties and before can easily be considered old school. Believe it or not old hip hop music still performs an important role in today’s new songs. These veterans of old school hip hop performers continue to be around and several new artists still use their songs for inspiration and new ideas. The founders with heavy regard today include Public Enemy, Dr. Dre, Tupac and many more. Each of these artists originated from different regions with their own variations and sounds.

Hip hop music was punctuated by conscious political style rappers, most notably Public Enemy. Rappers and hip hop artists used political style often targeted government and political figures in their rhymes. Because of this, these rappers became targets themselves. Other conscious rappers, such as Rakim and Nas, took a more journalistic approach to detailing their communities, and the problems they faced through vivid street tales. While some performers used the political style other artists used the G-Funk style it a compositions, ushering in a mellow sleek sound that symbolized the entire California movement, West Coast.

The most used style of hip hop used by famous hip hop artists was gangsta rap. Gangsta rap created as a sort product of the political rap style. The political discussions began fading out of the music and the anger resonated. The gangsta rap style started as a politically conscious rap artist who became an aggressive machismo gangsta rapper. Hip-hop is among the most vibrant, interesting musical genres. It has taken many forms. The words can be uplifting or somber, funny or brutal. Hip-hop fans are aware that there's far more to the music than hot beats and larger-than-life rap stars. This uniquely American art form has a rich historical past, and people of all ages can appreciate this variety of music.
