How might I have a functional tie dye party with 15 7year olds?
I am throwing a tie dye party, at my place of work, with 15 childern (7yr olds). How might I pair them in to groups or ideas on working with them as one big group? Has anyone thrown one before?
This is how a group I was with did it. You need to set up tables for stations. Have one table for the shirts, unless the kids are providing their own. Have one table or group of chairs sitting around for the kids to sit at so you can tell them how things are going to work. Have one table for the place where the kids get their shirts ready to tie dye,on this table have rubber bands, marbles, and other things. Have one table for every color if you are doing lots of colors, one for blue, red, green, yellow, black, or other colors. Have 2 spots for the colors so two children can be at the table at the same time. If you do it in group of two you can work with the a lot easier. Also it will keep them moving. And you will be able to keep better track of when you need to replace colors. Have at least alot of places where they can hang up their shirts to dry. One way to keep them from dripping all over the place is to get boxes from the grocery. The kind that soup comes in the ones that are not very high. And LOTS of paper towels and help. Good Luck
